Phase-based scanners utilize a continuous laser beam rather than a pulsing laser beam inherent to time-of-flight ranging systems. The package consists of:

This scanner was bought in April 2005. It is in excellent working condition, having been used in several demo projects and presentations. It was serviced in Leica's service center in 2006. It comes with:

Leica HDS4500 / Z+F Imager 5003

Sammer Technologies is offering for sale a Leica HDS4500 (also sold as the Z+F Imager 5003), 53m range model with accessories. The scanner and accessories are in excellent condition. The HDS4500 is a high-speed, phase-based laser scanner that measures up to 500,000 points per second over a range of up to 53 meters within a scanning area of 360 x 310 degrees. The package consists of the HDS4500 in a transport case, Firewire cable and PCMCIA Firewire card for connection to notebook PC (not included), two rechargeable batteries, one 120V battery charger, charging and power cables plus a tripod with notebook PC table and dolly in a transport case. The HDS4500 was serviced at the factory in September 2006.

The price for this package is US$75,000.
